Certificate Program

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

Turn your passion into a paycheck. The Commercial Pilot License allows you to be paid to fly aircraft.

What Can You Do With a CPL?

A Commercial Pilot License opens the door to professional aviation careers. With a CPL, you can:

  • Be compensated (paid) to fly as a pilot
  • Work as a charter pilot, banner tow pilot, or aerial survey pilot
  • Fly aerial photography, pipeline patrol, or cargo flights
  • Build flight time toward airline transport pilot (ATP) minimums
  • Serve as second-in-command (SIC) on certain aircraft

Note: To fly passengers for hire at an airline, you will also need an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. The CPL is a required step on that path.
